Neighbors, A notice was sent out along with your dues invoice concerning yard sales and vendor codes. Yard Sales continue to be a problem for the neighborhood both in congestion and security and the board is getting a large number of complaints due to the frequency of them. There have been yard sales almost every weekend which is an inconvenience to all who live in the neighborhood. The board voted on two yards sales per year for the community for which the board will have a banner made and will also run an ad in the paper and on craigs list. We will have one in April and one in October and the dates will be posted on the website and a letter will be sent out a month in advance to let you know of the date. Please be considerate of your neighbors and take advantage of the benefits of a community yard sale. We recently restocked the ponds with fish, carp I think, to eat the green growing in our ponds. The gators and otters apparently think our ponds are their own personal buffet.

This was the smaller gator. We such a much, much larger gator that same weekend (last weekend), but didn’t have a camera handy when we saw him.

PURPOSE: Annual Membership Meeting / Vote for Board of Directors

• Meeting was called to order at 6:47 PM by Maureen Heretick.
• Proxies were certified
• Affidavit of Notice was verified
• State of the Association – Maureen Heretick and the BOD had no discussion.
• Requested Director Nominations from the floor – no one was nominated
• Candidates were introduced
• Secret Ballot voting occurred
• Open forum discussion while ballots were counted
o Homeowner asked why homeowners if they would be getting statements instead of a coupon book—the BOD decided to use statements
o Discussion of illegally parked cars
o Discussion regarding foreclosures
• Voting results were announced – the current board of directors will remain as the Board of Directors for 2009-2010:
• Adjourned at 7:10 PM

After the meeting, the board of directors had a brief gathering to decide the positions of the board. The results are:
1. Maureen Heretick – President
2. Michael Heretick – V President
3. Mitch Haller – Director/Treasurer
4. Rachel Pereira – Secretary/Communications
5. Glen Campbell - Director

Next meeting set for Budget Workshop will be set and then posted.

Gate Codes!!! It appears alot of people are using invalid gate codes. 2004 is not a valid gate code. Every home should have they’re own personal gate code. If your gate code isn’t working or is not your personal number please call Grace Management Company and they will let you pick a gate code. Any questions, call the management company. It appears that gates at both entry ways have been vandalized. Anyone with any information should call Grace Management Company and anyone with any information on the approximate time that the gates quit operating both on the Conway side and the Daetywler side, please post on this website. A big thank you to the 33 households who came out to our HOA meeting last week. Sadly, a quorum was not reached, and business could not be conducted. Folks, we cannot accomplish anything if you don’t show up. We need something a ridiculous percentage our 128 houses represented in order to conduct business. I understand we all live busy lives, but please try to be involved in our neighborhood. (I cannot recall what percentage off hand, I’m sure it’s in our bylaws somewhere… over there on the sidebar)

We’ll be setting a new date for a meeting and hoping for a quorum. IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND PLEASE FILL OUT A PROXY AND GIVE IT TO ME or any neighbor you may know who will be able to attend!

Hi Neighbors,  I just wanted to thank everyone that came to the meeting on Wed, that was best turnout we have had in quite a while.  We will post the next date for the annual meeting soon on the website and will also have a mailout and signs will be posted 48 hours in advance.  Please ask your neighbors if they have sent in they’re proxy or they can drop it off to one of the board members or they can come to the meeting.   Thanks again for your support.  If anyone has any suggestions for a location for the meetings (free), please post and we will check into it.  Also, if you haven’t given your e-mail address to the management company, please call and do so  and we  will notify you by email of upcoming events.  Thank you.

The annual meeting is next Wednesday, August 26th, at 7pm at Fish on Fire restaurant located at the intersection of Daetwyler and McCoy.
